MTV Resurrects Unplugged With Alicia Keys
by Paul Cashmere

On July 14, MTV brought back their Unplugged production to highlight the music of Alicia Keys.

The show from the Brooklyn Academy of Music featured guest appearances from Common, Mos Def, Damian Marley and Adam Levine (Maroon 5).

"It's an honor to step into the spotlight of the MTV Unplugged concert series and share in the legacy that MTV has created with previously great Unplugged performances," said Alicia Keys in a statement. "This MTV Unplugged is such an amazing and eclectic musical experience which enabled me to arrange the songs with a new perspective, express myself musically, and connect with my fans on a different level then ever before. It's an honor that MTV is bringing back Unplugged for me and I can't wait for you to hear these new songs! You're going to love them."

MTV will air Unplugged: Alicia Keys on September 23rd.

A CD and DVD of the performance will be released on October 11.

a friend and I were having a heated convo on Alicia. He said it took to long to get into her music. I argued she's still growing up as a song writer and needs time. lovely voice

I can't wait to peep this. I dig her live performances way more than her studio shit.
